Marshall County Barn Quilt Trail

Indiana’s first Barn Quilt Trail celebrates the history of agriculture, time-honored tradition of quilting, the community’s passion for art, community pride and Hoosier Hospitality. Connecting the communities throughout Marshall County, "Indiana the Barn Quilt Trail" features a series of large murals painted in a variety of quilt patterns on barns, businesses and public spaces in downtown areas including popular Culver and Plymouth. Self-guided trail maps are available online at marshallcountytourism.org where you’ll also learn more about the barns of Marshall County, the history of the quilt patterns chosen and all the things you can see and do while following the Barn Quilt Trail.


Ancilla Domini Chapel

The breathtaking Ancilla Domini Chapel features soaring columns and baroque-style stained glass windows. The altars are made of butternut and golden oak and were made in LaCrosse, Wisconsin and hauled to Donaldson in freight wagons. All the statues are woodcarvings from Germany. On the unique ceiling are featured images of angels supporting symbols of Mary as queen. Louis Van Dinter as his last masterpiece built the large organ. The pipes were made in Pennsylvania by Gottfried, a firm famous for the art of voicing organ pipes. The organ has 21 ranks in three divisions and 1,291 pipes.
The PHJC Ministry Center with its beautiful grounds and prayer garden is located on the shore of Lake Gilbraith. The Ancilla Domini Chapel is open to all that visit the PHJC Ministry Center.

Potawatomi Wildlife Park is a 200-acre complex that consists of fields, woodlands, ponds and wetlands and is bordered by the Tippecanoe River. The park is managed as a natural sanctuary for plants and animals of northern Indiana and provides educational activities for schools in the area, as well as areas for recreational activities such as hiking or bird watching.
